Dodgers righty Ryan Pepiot recovered from an oblique injury in a big way to finish LA's 2023 regular season.

The young arm proved himself as the best Dodgers pitcher down the stretch with both his spot starts and bulk work in the final weeks of the year.

Pepiot confusingly didn't see the field during the team's NLDS sweep against Arizona but he still took the time to thank the fans for their support on his Instagram page.

TBS shockingly broadcasted that Dave Roberts was saving Pepiot's arm for Games 4 and 5 when he didn't use him in Game 3.

Though the in-game decision eventually paid off thanks to Michael Grove escaping a jam in his inning of work, many fans still wonder why Pepiot couldn't see a single out during the series.

Roberts' trap card never got activated after the LA offense fell quiet all series and sent the team packing for the winter in three miserable games.

Pepiot still has much to be proud of for his efforts after his 2023 debut got delayed due to injury.

The 26-year-old finished 42 innings of work with three starts in eight total appearances as an extended rookie season.

A 2.14 ERA with 38 strikeouts and a 0.76 WHIP impressed Roberts enough to name him for his playoff roster but his opportunity just never came.

Slated for a rotation spot before he went down with injury, the promising starter will surely be part of Roberts' Opening Day staff by next March.

It's unclear who will join Pepiot and fellow promising rookie Bobby Miller for Roberts' starting five but Walker Buehler's return from injury should factor into his pitching plan.

No matter how the postseason ended, Pepiot's class in thanking Dodgers Nation for their support will earn him plenty of fans heading into 2024.
