The Chicago White Sox have entered life without Tim Anderson (for the time being), and it’s looking like recently recalled infielder Lenyn Sosa will be more than a depth piece. Fresh off of mashing his first MLB home run on Tuesday, Sosa will get his first career start at shortstop in Wednesday night’s ballgame.

Sosa will have some big shoes to fill. In Anderson’s absence, the White Sox will need all the help they can get. If Lenyn Sosa can continue to provide some offensive pop down the stretch, all the better for South Siders.

If you missed last night’s game and want to see what that pop looks like, well here it is.

Not bad for a 22-year-old rookie. Now let’s see if he can keep that up and serve as a sparkplug for a struggling Chicago White Sox offense.
