Ah, springtime. The sun is shining (usually–there have been some big storms of late in Utah, Vermont, and Colorado), the temperatures are mild, and the snow is slushy.

And park crews are pulling out all the stops—or in this case at Brighton, all the boxes—getting weird and creative in the pursuit of fun.

It's challenge rail season.

The Brighton Diggers, known for their quality rail work and perfect tubes, just erected a "mega box," linking seven features together in a roller coaster of a challenge feature. No sooner had they unleashed the box beast when one of their own, Brighton's Sam Wittke, casually became the first person to lace the whole thing.

Sam is a longtime Brighton Digger with plenty of rail skills, both on his board and utilizing a rake. It's pretty awesome that he was the first person to make it all the way through the mega box—a testament to the park staff that build the parks we love out of their own love of snowboarding.

Now that the mega box has been tackled, with the Brighton park crew make it even harder? Follow @brighton_diggers to find out.
